We had an Easter get-together at my aunt's house yesterday, and boy am I glad we did. It is extremely cold outside today and will be tomorrow, so we are absolutely not doing an Easter egg hunt outside tomorrow. We did one yesterday for the little ones though, and they had a blast. Our plans for tomorrow consist of lunch at our house with my Mom & her husband, and my sister & her husband & their kids, and an egg hunt inside. We always go to church on Sundays, but Camden has been having such a difficult time in nursery lately and there will be more kids than usual tomorrow, so we decided against going. And in light of the rediculous weather, we decided against boiling crawfish and are opting for gumbo instead. Mmmm... I love comfort food in cold weather.
Now, I think my sexy hubby and I will cuddle up and watch a movie. I rented a childhood favorite: E.T., and bought m&m's to munch on (although I just did a little researched and discovered that it is Reese's Pieces in the movie, not m&m's. Anyone else surprised?). I have been creating a few more things with felt lately, so I may do a bit of that this afternoon, too. For now, here are a few pictures from yesterday.
Cupcakes that I made for our get-together. (Got the idea from Ali's blog.) Fun!
When the kids were hunting for the eggs, Camden would pick up an egg and shake it to see if there was candy in it. If he didn't hear anything rattling around, he would put it back where he got it. LOL Smart boy!
