Hello Friday

I am so determined to get back on the blogging wagon that I'm writing in the middle of running around, bathing kids, and straightening the house.  Camden, Ella and Maya are going to sleep over at their grandma's house tonight.  My mom and I are going to pick up where we left off in the house yesterday.  I am hoping to tackle the piles of paperwork that need to be sorted, thrown, and filed.  I'm looking forward to finish the organizing, sorting, and cleaning part of this project so that I can get on to the decorating part!

Felt Fun & Tags

I have been into sewing lately if you haven't noticed and until I actually learn how to thread my new sewing machine (let alone use it), I'm still hand-sewing.  I love using felt to make cute little things for the kids.  I made these cute dividers with each of their initials for their clothes rod.

I'll be making more things for the house.  I'll post them as I do.

For now we're getting ready to go watch Horton Hears A Who!  ;)

The Urge to Purge

I have an insatiable desire to get rid of stuff tonight... or should I say this morning?  It is 1:15 in the morning and I wish I could just dash through the house clearing out every room.  I'm not going to do that.  I do hope to do some of it tomorrow though.  I feel like all of the clutter around me is affecting that peace I am wanting so desperately.  We will see what I get done tomorrow and how I feel about it.

Inspired & Tired

I am feeling creative tonight.  I want to create things!  I'm just so darned tired tonight.  I stayed up way late last night working on my images for today's art walk and I need to catch up on my rest.  The art walk got rained out, by the way.  I'm waiting to hear when it will be rescheduled for.  I am super happy about that since I was not even remotely prepared for it today.

I need to straighten my house at least a little.  My house is a mess about 90% of the time and I seriously hate it.  HATE IT.  So why do I let it stay that way or get that way again after cleaning it up?  I have no idea... except for the fact that I am tired most of the time.  I figure one year of being tired all the time from nursing at night is well worth the bonding I am sharing with Maya.  It is such a small amount of time in comparison to the rest of my life.

Ok... I'm off to clean!  I will be back, hopefully with pictures, after the kids are in bed.

Lovey Ducks

I adore the way Ella makes everything kiss!  Her stuffed animals, her Little People, their Woody and Jessie dolls, and now these little rubber duckies I bought for the kids today.  What's funny is that she is very selective about her own affection.  She gives hugs and kisses only when she wants to.  She showed her independence from the day she was born.  Camden had to be swaddled so tightly to sleep, but Ella would not have it!  She wanted her arms and legs free and would fuss until they were.  Little twerp!

I started rearranging Camden's room a little while ago and then came in here for something.  (I am known for not finishing things.)  So, I am going to get in there and finish that.  Then, I will take Ella's bed apart to put in the playroom.  I've decided to let them have their own rooms again.  I think it would be the best thing for Camden, since we have such a hard time getting Ella to go to bed.  I will post pictures of the rooms when I finish.  Until then...

A Promising Day

I am definitely in the mood to scrap today (that layout is from last week).  I have some new products that I can't wait to use.  I love new scrapbook products!  I need to remember recent stories and funny saying from the kids to scrap before I forget them.  Ali mentioned on her blog how she keeps lists going of things she wants to scrap about.  This is such a great idea for me!  So I am going to start a list.  Speaking of lists...

A list of things I want to accomplish today:

+  Catch up on laundry.

+  List a few items on eBay.

+  Vacuum.

+  Mail an item sold on eBay.

+  Create at least one layout.

Do something today that makes you happy!
